Millar Western’s Whitecourt Pulp Division is seeking a confident, energetic individual to play a leadership role in developing and implementing safety policies and procedures. As well as auditing the safety program to ensure effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements, the successful candidate will work with all departments to promote a culture of safety. Duties include delivery of safety orientations, training staff and contractors, and incident investigations.

The ideal candidate

Qualified applicants will have completed an accredited safety program and be willing to seek safety auditor accreditation through the Alberta Forest Products Association. Excellent communication, presentation, organization and computer skills are required. Knowledge of ISO and previous experience in a manufacturing setting would be considered assets.
