Our High Prairie Forest Products Division has an immediate opening for a highly skilled:
JOURNEYPERSON ELECTRICIAN
You will be a key player in the company-wide continuous improvement effort through daily use of troubleshooting, predictive, and preventive maintenance strategies.
Responsibilities include:
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Ensure consistent operations of all electrical equipment within the Sawmill and Planer mill
- Verify and the documentation of repairs
- Monitor product quality and provide feedback
- Work with the following pieces of equipment: Optimil Canters/Nicholson and VKB barkers
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Several years of experience as an electrician
- A valid journeyman, journeyperson or inter-provincial certification is required
- Mechanical and electrical knowledge and aptitude
- Strong organizational, and communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
- Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Weekend and/or shift work might be required
- Valid driver’s license
Considered a strong asset:
- Previous experience in a industrial environment
- A Red Seal Certificate
