The Woodland’s Team at our Alberta Plywood – Slave Lake has an immediate opening for a highly motivated, professional to fill the role of Silviculture Supervisor.

SILVICULTURE SUPERVISOR

As a Silviculture Supervisor, you would be responsible for all aspects of reforestation on the company forest tenures. This includes developing plans and prescriptions, contractor supervision, location and traversing treatment areas along with data entry.  Additional responsibilities include monitoring contractor compliance with Safe Operating Procedures, ISO and SFI certifications and health and safety programs. In this position, you will also liaison with the government, First Nations, Trappers, oil and gas operators and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate will aspire to cross function in other departments within the Woods

Along with a Forestry, Natural Resources or another relevant degree and/or diploma, the applicant must have related forestry experience and possess an RPF or RPFT designation, or be eligible to earn this designation in Alberta. In addition, basic knowledge of GIS and databases are considered assets.
