Reporting to the Caribou Range Planning Lead, the Integrated Resource Planner – Caribou Range Planning (IRP-Caribou) works with multi-disciplinary departmental, cross-ministry and external stakeholder teams to coordinate and develop caribou range plans addressing the management of critical habitat and supporting population management actions ensuring coordination with other sub-regional and issue-specific plans. This position must lead and facilitate range planning work to support desirable outcomes that address caribou recovery, competing land and resource use interests and demands including industrial development, aboriginal rights, healthy municipalities and recreational activities.

Qualifications: The position requires a post-secondary degree in natural resource management, biology, planning or a related field and a minimum of 4 years’ experience in natural resource management, project management, and issues management. Previous experience in landscape planning and/or environmental management will be considered an asset. Equivalencies will be considered.
