Work Wild has developed four Toolkits tailored to meet sections of Alberta Education’s curriculum for Grade 6 Science, Grade 7 Science, CALM 20, and CTS Forestry.

Grade 6
Trees & Forests

“Trees and Forests” is a key element in the Alberta Grade 6 curriculum. Work Wild’s Grade 6 Science: Trees and Forests Toolkit is comprised of three activities (see Lesson Plan Toolkit PDF below). Interactions and Ecosystems

In partnership with Love Alberta Forests, Work Wild has created a suite of learning resources to accompany the award-winning Virtual Forest Tour. Students will explore young, middle-aged, and mature forest sites using the tour and relate their learnings back to the Interactions and Ecosystems unit of the Grade 7 science curriculum. CALM
Exploring Career Diversity In The Forest Sector

As part of the CALM 20 curriculum, students will engage in career exploration. Work Wild has developed a series of three lesson plans with corresponding activities. Students will be required to watch three short videos and take the Work Wild Career Quiz. They will reference content on this website, in addition to conducting independent online research. Forests and Society
