Role

Do you have previous experience with stock keeping? Are you looking for a stable career in warehousing? Would you like to support wildfire management in the province? If so, we may have an opportunity for you as a Stock Keeper in our Calgary Warehouse.

Reporting to the Area Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for contributing to warehouse floor operations in the Forest Area warehouse in Northwest Calgary. Your main duties will include receiving, reconciling, storing, distributing and shipping various wildland fire suppression equipment in a timely and efficient manner. Additionally, you will be responsible for purchasing, managing inventory using a computerized system, reconciling goods with purchase records, packing kits and distributing uniforms to Departmental staff while maintaining a neat and tidy warehouse and yard. You will have the opportunity to develop your supervisory skills while supervising seasonal stock keepers and occasional emergency hire staff. You will be required to act for the Warehouse Supervisor when necessary. In this role you will have a unique opportunity to have significant impact on the delivery of fire equipment throughout the province and, ultimately, help to protect Alberta’s communities from wildfire and threats of wildfire.

Qualifications

A high school diploma and two years of related experience in warehouse and/or materials management is required. Experience with computerized inventory management systems will be considered an asset as will previous work with related wildfire equipment.

Salary

$1,970.04 – $2,416.28 bi-weekly ($51,418 – $63,064 annually)
