The Edson facility is located in central Alberta. Edson has a population of 8,646 (2012 Municipal Census) and has a full range of recreational and cultural facilities. Edson is strategically located on Highway 16, the Trans Canada Yellowhead Route approximately 180 kilometers west of Edmonton and only a short hour drive to world famous Jasper National Park. OSB Mill, Edson has an opening for a Journeyman Welder. This position will directly report to the Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities include: responding to calls, troubleshooting, being a part of the resolution, preventative maintenance, some project work and continuous process improvement.Qualifications
- Journeyman Welder with 5 years structural welding experience.
- Minimum 2 year millwright apprenticeship complete.
- Experience in an industrial setting as well as the ability to follow safe work practices and procedures.
- Strong trouble shooting, problem solving and communications skills are required. The ability to work alternate shifts is a requirement of this position.
