PART TIME ADMINISTRATIVE TEMP

(9 Month Term with Possible Extension)

Reporting to the Financial Controller, this is a part-time temporary position for an Administrative Temp typically working 5 hour days, 4 days per week. This role needs to be flexible as required positions and or tasks will change from week to week.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Providing coverage for Accounts Payable

Duties may include: Communicating with mill stores and suppliers as necessary to resolve invoicing issues, Preparing month end journal entries, Preparing weekly EFT and cheque runs for vendor payments, Vendor maintenance

  • Providing coverage for the Warehouse Administrator

Duties may include: Initiating, monitoring & processing purchase orders, Receiving & stocking of supplies & materials, Assisting in maintenance & control of a physical inventory with a computerized system.

  • Providing coverage for Reception

Duties may include: Communication with co-workers, superiors & the general public in person & in telephone conversations, Data entry and reporting, Coordinate schedules, appointments, reservations & travel arrangements, Organization of meetings & events, Plan divisional functions & special events, Prepare &/or edit internal and external letters, faxes, memos and mass emails, Monitor corporate pool vehicle booking

  •  General office and administrative duties as required

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • 2-4 years of Administrative &/or Accounts Payable experience
  •  Minimum of a High School Diploma
  •  Quick learner and flexible to pick up different duties as needed
  • Ability to work with numbers
  •  Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Self-motivator possessing exceptional planning, organizational and computer skills
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  •  Effective data entry, keyboarding and calculation abilities
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Advanced of Excel, Word and Outlook skills
