Description
Weyerhaeuser Grande Prairie is looking for a Mobile Shop Technician whose primary functions and responsibilities will include the following:
- The ability to work effectively with others.
- A positive approach to conducting assigned tasks and interactions with others.
- A willingness to develop new skills and improve the level of performance as requirements and expectations change over time.
- The ability to take the initiative for the completion of their work tasks and skill development.
- Ability to meet all Team Norms and Standards with a clear focus on active participation in the safety program.
- Behavior consistent with the Safety Vision and Policy and the Site Principles.
Qualifications
- Have a current Journeyman certification as a Red sealed Heavy Duty Mechanic.
- Participation in physically demanding work.
- Meet and support team standards.
- Willingness to work a compressed schedule which includes working two weekends a month.
- Willingness to support the business direction for Planning & Scheduling of work.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Must have no restrictions to work at heights.
Consideration will be given to individuals who:
- Are coming from teams that do not require backfills or who have backfill plans that do not add to site staffing.
- A Certified Journeyman Welder and/or other welding and fitting skills required such as “B”, MIG. TIG. Etc.
- Experience in work planning software i.e. SAP
- Previous Caterpillar service/repair experience.
