They are a major employer in the local region and in the provincial economy. The company directly employs 150+ people at the sawmill/planer complex which incorporates sales, administration, woodlands and the truck maintenance shop. In addition, the company employs 25 seasonal, contract and part-time employees in transportation and seasonal activities.
- Position Summary:
- To oversee all aspects of the yard which include portal crane, mobile equipment, and employees.
- Qualifications:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years experience in the lumber industry and operating mobile equipment.
- Strong communication and team leading skills.
- Ability to be well organized.
- Self Motivated.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and have a strong work ethic.
- Mechanical knowledge may be an asset.
