Weyerhaeuser Company has an immediate opening for a full-time entry-level Operations Team Member for our Edson, Alberta Oriented Strand Board Mill.

Key Functions:
- Demonstrate total commitment to working safely and following all safety rules and regulations
- Must demonstrate the willingness and ability to learn new jobs and skills
- Communicate with team members and leadership to ensure the consistent exchange of information relative to the position
- Responsible for the daily operation of manufacturing equipment that produces oriented strand board
- Responsible for cleaning the assigned production area, which involves sweeping and removing debris
- Interpret work instructions adequately and successfully completing tasks as delegated
- Work effectively in a team environment
- Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and issues on a regular basis
- May operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow
- Attend team meetings and regular training sessions
- Perform regular Preventive Maintenance and clean-up on equipment.
- Regularly involved in process improvement projects.
- Perform quality checks and ensure the production of a quality product.
- Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Demonstrate ownership and commitment to safety and risk assessment
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Willingness and ability to wear all required personal protective equipment
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Good communication skills
- Successful completion of a pre-employment testing process
- Ability to work within and contribute in a team setting
- Industrial Manufacturing experience is a strong asset
- Experience in a self-directed team environment is an asset
- Resume detailing education and work history required for consideration.
- This is a safety-sensitive position, candidates must be able to pass drug and alcohol screening.
