Two Feller Buncher Operators wanted full time from ASAP to March 31st.
One Grapple Skidder Operator wanted full time from ASAP to March 31st.
Opportunity for long-term, seasonal employment. We cut approximately 350,000m3 annually between June and April. Paid drive and travel time. Overtime after 10 hours per day. Competitive benefit package included.
Location: Grande Prairie, Alberta. Town-based operation. Blocks are generally within 1-1.5 hours of Grande Prairie. Home each night. All work located on the Grande Prairie Weyerhaeuser’s FMA.
Equipment:
- 2015 John Deere 903K2 Buncher (Full drop in engine January 2018 and new undercarriage September 2018)
- 2016 Tigercat 870C Buncher (New in June of 2017)
- 2016 Tigercat 635E Skidder
- 2017 Tigercat 615E Skidder
Skills and Expectations:
- Applicant should have multiple years of experience for the position they are applying for.
- Having both buncher and grapple skidder experience would be considered an asset.
- Being able to work safely while protecting the environment is a condition of employment.
- Willingness to work shift work. Which may include some weekends and night shifts.
- Ability to assist in repairs and maintenance of equipment. We have a full-time mechanic and service truck.
- Willingness to work long days. 10 hours/day + travel.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods.
- Ability to handle the physical demands required of the job
- Have strong interpersonal, organizational, observation skills and high work standards.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract. Copy of abstract will be required.
- Preference will be given to operators local to the Grande Prairie, Alberta. Our operation is a 100% commute based. We do not have a camp or provide accommodations.
- Passing a substance impairment test will be required prior to starting.
