Millar Western’s corporate office in Edmonton, Alberta, is seeking to fill the position of Logistics Administrator.

Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor, the Logistics Administrator will work assist in the selection and scheduling of modes of carriers, ensuring the cost-efficient delivery of lumber and pulp products from our manufacturing facilities, to customers and inventory sites. The successful candidate will work closely with sales representatives, site production schedulers and carriers, to promote an orderly product flow.

The ideal candidate

Qualified applicants will have a good working knowledge of highway carriers, transportation rules, terminology, carrier options, emerging opportunities and documentation requirements, coupled with excellent communications and interpersonal skills. A strong administrative background is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience working with commodity products and post-secondary education in a related field.
