Millar Western’s Whitecourt Pulp Division is currently seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Superintendent. Reporting directly to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the successful individual will collaborate with other departments in the mill to define objectives, develop long-range plans and budgets and prioritize the Mechanical Maintenance department workload. He or she will work with contractors and suppliers to ensure the best value for all. This individual will also lead the department’s safety program, acting as a mentor and coach to journeypersons and apprentices.

The ideal candidate: will hold a Mechanical Engineering degree, a Mechanical Technology diploma or will have served as a Journeyperson with equivalent experience in relevant trade. He or she must have a minimum of five years of industrial environment experience in the Mechanical Maintenance field. Previous experience in a leadership role and MMP or similar certifications will be considered assets.
