Alberta Distance Learning Centre: Forestry Programs
The Forestry CTS stream consists of 5 one-credit, online courses developed by Alberta Distance Learning Centre (ADLC) and the Woodland Operations Learning Foundation (WOLF). Focusing on all aspects of the forestry industry, from hands-on operations to administrative tasks to marketing, these courses provide students with valuable skills and insight into potential career opportunities. Courses also assist the forestry industry in evaluating future machine operators and improving awareness of forestry as a career. Training provided in these courses combines relevant technology and professional instruction to ensure students become familiar with actual machines and applicable skill sets used by the forestry industry today. Collectively, the CTS Forestry stream will develop an understanding of the forest as a resource and how to ensure its sustainability.
