<\/iframe><\/p>\nRight at the beginning of the Work Wild video it says, “out here, your commute looks a little different” (I should know, I have every part of the video memorized). That didn’t really hit home with me until today. It took me an hour to get to work. I’m know people complain about traffic all the time, but I don’t know if those people really have other options. They probably have to live in the city. I’ve worked in forest communities and would absolutely love to drive to work through the forest<\/em> again like I used to.<\/p>\nAny route I take to work I have to take a traffic circle. I don’t really care, because I know how to use them, but this is what the roundabout<\/em> looked like today: \n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.workwild.ca\/2011\/05\/04\/commut\/traffic_circle\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-997\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.workwild.ca\/_ups\/traffic_circle-e1304518804218.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"traffic_circle\" width=\"250\" height=\"250\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-997\" \/><\/a><\/p>\nThere were no accidents or anything. It was just a bunch of people not knowing how to use traffic circles. Why would people choose the city drive over something nice like this: \n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.workwild.ca\/2011\/05\/04\/commut\/driving-forest\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-998\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.workwild.ca\/_ups\/driving-forest-e1304521589153.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"driving-forest\" width=\"333\" height=\"250\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-998\" \/><\/a><\/p>\nI’m lucky I have a truck that basically looks like the one below, otherwise I would have long been lost in a pothole somewhere. Why does it seem so much worse in Edmonton than the rest of the province? I think I learned this in SOILS 210 class in University but can’t remember (If anybody can help me out, please do). \n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.workwild.ca\/2011\/05\/04\/commut\/batman\/\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-999\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.workwild.ca\/_ups\/batman-e1304522014575.jpg\" alt=\"\" title=\"batman\" width=\"323\" height=\"250\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-999\" \/><\/a><\/p>\nYou may also be asking, why did I choose the city drive over the beautiful forest community commute? If I want to live in those communities so bad, and it’s an option, why don’t I do it. I’m doing this so that I can tell you not to choose the city route and stick to the forest. Believe me when I say you’ll miss it when you’re gone. There’s so many more amenities in these communities than there used to be.
